The inspiration behind both the Pod Necklace and the Pod Earrings came to me one day when I was in my garden picking over-ripe snap peas. Each fruit had swelled to near bursting, their skins just casings for the big peas they contained. I wanted this slide to have the same soft, ripe, sculpted feeling. I added diagonal etching to relax the feel of metal. The chain is simple and hand-maid, with oxidized texture to pick up on the etching in the pendant.
This necklace also partners beautifully with the Halycon Posts.
